Taiwan President Wants Defense Spending To Hit 5% GDP by 2030

Taiwan's Cabinet has approved its 2026 budget proposal, with defense spending coming in at 3.32% of GDP.  President Lai Ching-te says he wants the country's defense spending to reach 5% of GDP by 2030, in line with NATO standards.
